Editing Policy
Purpose
This policy explains what may and may not be added to the MineMania Wiki.
All editors should follow these rules when creating or changing pages.
Things to remember
- Other users can edit, improve, or remove what you write.
- Do not feel upset if your edit is changed or reverted.
- Do not be afraid to edit or make mistakes. Most mistakes can be fixed.
- No user owns a wiki page.
- Ask for help if you are unsure.
What you can create
Members may add content about:
- factual server information;
- lore about builds, items, characters, locations, or events;
- useful information relating to the server;
- guides, explanations, or documentation that help players;
- server features, rules, history, or community projects.
Content should be clear, useful, and related to MineMania.
Accuracy
- Check that information is correct before adding it.
- Do not guess or present rumours as facts.
- Update or remove information that is no longer correct.
- Clearly mark lore, stories, or fictional information as lore.
What you cannot create
Members must not add content that:
- is mainly personal opinion instead of useful information;
- attempts to cause disruption, protest, harassment, or conflict;
- attacks, insults, targets, or shames another user;
- is not family-friendly;
- contains spam, vandalism, or deliberately misleading information;
- includes private or personal information about another person;
- advertises unrelated websites, products, or services;
- copies large amounts of content from another website;
- damages the quality of the wiki.
Editing other users' work
You may improve another user's edit when needed.
When changing someone else's work:
- keep useful and correct information;
- explain large changes in the edit summary;
- do not repeatedly undo edits during a disagreement;
- discuss the problem calmly or ask an administrator for help.
Edit summaries
When publishing an edit, add a short summary explaining what you changed.
Examples:
Fixed spellingUpdated command informationRemoved outdated informationAdded details about the event
Enforcement
Edits that break this policy may be removed, reverted, or changed by administrators.
Users who repeatedly break this policy, act disruptively, or misuse the wiki may be warned or blocked from editing temporarily or indefinitely.
