Breakneck Battlegrounds is a spinoff of the Battlegrounds SMP which follows the same rules in terms of griefing and PvP.

History
Name
During development the server was known as Battlegrounds2 or batt2 however this name was just a placeholder until a new name was picked from several suggestions by players ultimately the winner was Breakneck Battlegrounds from Pokeboy567. All the entries were:
- Breakneck Battlegrounds
- Chaos SMP
- No Mercy
- Battlefield
- Battlegrounds junior
Launch
The server launched without issue during the Monday social on the 13th of June. Upon the server opening everyone spawned in and immediately people started fighting. Eventually players started to disperse and gear up. Within the first few hours many fights broke out some small and others large and at the end of the day the auditors2 had 18 kills
